The Will Pound Band
Even at the age of 25, Will Pound is in demand as a live performer and session musician, playing with the likes of Guy Chambers (ex songwriter for Robbie Williams), legendary folk guitarist Martin Simpson and Scottish Early Music ensemble Concerto Caledonia. He recently recorded the harmonica part for The Hillsborough Single which featured Sir Paul McCartney, Mel C and Beverley Knight which reached Christmas number 1 in 2012.
He currently works with English folk duo Haddo, The Will Pound Band and as an occasional guest with the Martin Simpson Band/Trio. Until recently he performed with banjo master Dan Walsh in the critically acclaimed duo Walsh & Pound. Will was featured on the BBC TV series Goldies Band: By Royal Appointment which culminated in a performance at Buckingham Palace. In 2012 he was nominated for Musician Of The Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
2013 has seen Will release his first solo record ‘A Cut Above’ which has recieved rave reviews and Airplay from BBC Radio 2, Radio 6, The Daily Telegraph, R2 Magazine, Froots, FATEA Magazine, The Scotsman and various other magazines/radio….
Will plays Hohner and Suzuki chromatic harmonicas, Suzuki, Hering, Hohner and Seydel Diatonics in various tunings and is endorsed and supported by Eagle Music.

The Will Pound Band plays mix of English, Irish & Northumbrian tunes with jazz, bluegrass, blues, rock & funk rhythms.
