Kállal is a virtuosic Cimbalom player haling from Budapest, Hungary.
He has been studying the instrument for 13 years taking influence from Giani Lincan and Marius Preda and has played solo and as part of the famous ‘100 Violin Gypsy Orchestra’ in Budapest.His talent on the cimbalom is unparalleled in the UK and he has a strong desire to share the sound and culture of this incredible instrument. His performances are a mix of traditional Hungarian and Romanian folk music with some homages to the surrounding Balkan areas.
He will be performing a solo set at the Square and Compass, Dorset on 24th July alongside London based Balkan group ‘Don Kipper’ as part of the opening of the annual Stone Carving festival.
