Sir Jac's Bantamacs
‘Rockin’ tunes, greased haircuts and a load of slapback delay!’ - Sir Jac's Bantamacs are an outfit from Newcastle’s roots music scene, comprising of Rob Heron (Tea Pad Orchestra) on vocals and acoustic guitar, Tim Bloomer (The Mee Kats) on electric guitar, and Ted Harbot (Tea Pad Orchestra) on upright bass. Together they play early Rock & Roll classics, Rockabilly rarities, and Hillbilly boogies.
In December 2016, they recorded ‘The Prediedillac Tapes’ a 13 track album of 1950s cover versions released in the spring of 2017. Later in 2017 they plan to release some original material. Keep yer ears peeled!

Review of ‘The Prediedillac Tapes’:
"This drumless trio have taken a selection of classic Rockabilly tracks, and reproduced them in the most basic, but authentically flawless fashion… This debut CD is a well conceived and consummately performed collection of varied and well known tracks. The musicians are top notch and the sound is tight, the vocals well pitched. So come on then, who is still working out what ‘Prediedillac’ means?" ~ © Andrew Smith, The Bettajive Review, March 2017
