boci & Anna Anise

Boci / Anna Anise

boci, a Bristol-based, violin looper, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, released her debut album 'we are each other, this will set us free' to a sold-out audience at The Jam Jar in August 2022. She was named ‘spotlight artist’ twice last year by BBC Introducing and BBC Upload made her track 'Eruption', - Bristol’s Big New Sound in October. The album has received support from Songlines (★★★★), BBC introducing and BBC 6 music. With Northern European folk, prog-folk, classical, alt-pop and jazz influences, boci’s astral dream-folk sound world is woven with layers of euphoric string textures, crystalline vocals, expansive synths and therapeutic percussive grooves. Her message is one of unity, hope and healing.

‘we are each other, this will set us free’ was recorded and produced by recording artist Tom Campbell and features some of Bristol's most accomplished and creative musicians. The album explores and honours the human experiences of loss, love, loneliness, presence and connection.

Anna Anise
Anna Anise shines a new perspective on empathetic storytelling with vibrant melodies and a heartfelt homeliness. Her single, ’Overexposed’, explores the Celtic influence of her Cornish roots with it’s full-bodied dropped guitar tuning and gripping fiddle accompaniment.
