Formed in 2005 by Jan Jammet and Lisa Foo (formerly of Foo Foo, a songwriting duo) the bands Sly and Robbie on Bass & Drums & sweet vocals. King Tut (who in a previous life plied his wares in a London based punk/funk band) joined them in groove heaven on his Ska hoppin'' guitar Whilst up front the Horns of Pa laid down their tunes with Masterblaster Kentsta* (formerly of Ska band Ratrace) on Trumpet/ Fluglehorn/ Keys and Barrytone (formerly of 200 Fingers, The Ben Waters band and Barrelhouse blues orchestra) on Baritone/ Alto Saxophones. With hundreds of gigs now behind them they have played festivals including The Larmer tree, Glastonbury, The Vale Earth Fair, Guernsey, Party in the park, Galhampton, Earthwise, The Festival of Bryan, The Bunk Fest, Wallingford, many clubs, pubs & great parties, with venues as diverse as Gaz''s Rock and Blues Club, Soho & The Hootenanny, Brixton to the occasional old barn!
Along the way they have supported The Skatalites, The Beat, Skaville UK, Babyhead, Dub Pistol, Red Snapper and The Destroyers.
Their well-received debut album was released in 2007, their second DANCE CRASHER produced by Digby Smith in 2010. In 2013 Lisa Foo sadly had to leave the band.
New Band Members: Jim Shearman (A decade drumming in New Orleans & Chicago, latterly London & Bridport) on Drums & Victor Chetcuti (Singer/songwriter, with 5 solo albums under his belt and 10 years busking on the UK and European folk scene) on lead vocals. The Band''s deep love and appreciation of SKA & ROCKSTEADY music shines through in their performances. The broad appeal of their music has a knack of filling dance floors.
